    Before this, researchers have only seen H. atlanticus 3 times in 27 years. Female Haliphrons are giants: can be as long as four meters (13 feet)+weigh up to 75 kg (165 lbs)! Males are only ~30 centimeters( ~12 in), still considered large for Argonautoidea clade.(2/2)

    Exciting event this weekend: ROV SuBastian showed us an octopus that has only been seen alive 3 times: haliphron atlanticus. Most of what is known about them has come from specimens caught in trawl nets. H. atlanticus belongs to group of octopods called Argonautoidea (1/2)
